DESCRIPTION: The grand five-story, 17,000-square-foot Avanyu Spa at Snake River Lodge is the perfect complement to a rugged vacation in the remote West. After a day on the mountain slopes or a slightly stiffening ride on the trail, Avanyu Spa therapists help guests refresh and rejuvenate. The indigenous spa is the largest in Wyoming, and is an oasis of luxury among the wilds of nature, with pampering staff and creative treatments.

AVANYU SPA FEATURES: Ten treatment rooms, private men’s and women’s floors, a heated indoor/outdoor pool surrounded by cascading waterfalls, three saunas, private steam rooms, free-form hot tubs, an advanced selection of cardiovascular equipment in the fitness center, and a specialized spa retail area featuring products and spa gift items

SIGNATURE TREATMENTS: Sportsman’s Relief Massage: 50- or 80-minute treatment for guests to recover from skiing, snow boarding or summertime adventure with this deep tissue massage targeting areas prone to overexertion and sore muscles.  Holistic arnica provides immediate relief for feet bruised from ski boots or any outdoor activity, while your skilled therapist works to reduce swelling and accelerate total recovery.

River Rock Massage: A 45- or 75 minute massage to experience the ancient art and powerful healing of warm stones tumbled smooth by water and refreshingly cool marble.  Comfortably heated stones warm your back as smooth stones are worked up and down the length of your body.  Certified Organic aroma oil is used to enhance your sense of well being.

High Altitude Repair: An 80-minute facial to illuminate and repair complexion with a skin care treatment developed to combat the drying effects of living or traveling at high altitude.  This comprehensive treatment combines active enzyme exfoliation and complex nutrients to renew cellular activity.  Advanced formulations of the latest skin care technology and pure plant botanicals dramatically restore clarity to skin, while a marma point face massage provides internal wellbeing.

Champagne Mud Wrap: A 45-minute treatment recommended for both the travel weary and the weekend warrior, this frothy mud stimulates deep detoxification and stimulates recovery of injured or fatigued muscle tissue.  Gentle bubbles burst as the mud gradually heats up and oxygen is released.  Soft skin is ensured with a light application of finishing oil.
