LOCATION: Located slopeside at the base of world-class Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado, The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort, is the closest ski-in/ski-out hotel to a chairlift in North America and just steps from the main Beaver Creek Plaza.

THE RESORT: Following a $7 million transformation, The Osprey at Beaver Creek, formerly known as The Inn at Beaver Creek, offers 45 luxurious accommodations and two penthouse residences, sophisticated alpine-chic decor, a hotspot social scene, and posh-yet-playful services and amenities. The boutique hotel features The Osprey Lounge with a tapas-style menu, outdoor heated pool with lounge seating, a fire pit and full bar service. Guests can utilize a fitness facility with steam room and sauna, ski valet and ski storage, plus personal concierge services.

DESIGN: The Osprey’s sophisticated design incorporates warm colors and richly textured surfaces (including leather, birch, iron and onyx) made from locally sourced stone, indigenous metals and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified wood. Water-efficient plumbing and energy-efficient lighting fixtures further showcase the hotel’s commitment to the environment. Dallas-based architect and design firm Looney & Associates created the hotel’s new, modern look.
 
ACCOMMODATIONS: The Osprey’s guest rooms, including two spacious penthouse residences, feature elegant furnishings, chic décor and the finest linens. Additional lavish touches include plush robes, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, MP3 player docking stations, customized pre-stocked refreshment centers and wireless Internet. Select rooms offer fireplaces.

 There are two two-bedroom residences, accommodating up to six people each. They offer the comforts of home with a spacious living area, fireplace, full gourmet kitchen, Jacuzzi tub and balconies with picturesque views, plus all of the luxury resort amenities and services.

FOOD & BEVERAGE: Offering a sophisticated urban dining experience in a world-class mountain setting, the trendy Osprey Lounge offers custom cocktails along with seasonal mixology lessons. Created by Executive Chef Michael Wilganowski, a tapas-style menu boasts memorable treats such as lobster nachos, grilled brie sandwiches or a stack of hand-dipped onion rings with spicy chipotle mayo. A refined and creative wine list offers an intriguing selection, including a number of organic varieties.
  
SOCIAL EVENTS/
MEETINGS: The Osprey is an ideal destination for board meetings, company retreats and other special events. The 1,200 square-foot Peregrine Room can accommodate groups of up to 75, and features gourmet catering, high-tech audio/visual equipment, a dedicated group sales team and a professional event coordinator. Situated adjacent to the picturesque Beaver Creek Chapel, a popular venue for wedding ceremonies, The Osprey is the perfect locale for cocktail parties, rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions for up to 75 people.

HOTEL SCENE AND
SERVICES: Providing a see-and-be-seen setting, there is an atmosphere of “play” and excitement throughout The Osprey where guests can cozy up by a fireplace in the giant social room and watch a James Dean classic on a flat-screen TV, drum up a board game challenge with new friends or face off in a Wii entertainment system competition. Guests can also plug in and share the day’s adventure on the slopes as filmed from their personal helmet cams, a rental amenity provided by the hotel’s personal concierges. 

In addition to 24-hour concierge service, which is available to arrange sightseeing, activities and dining, The Osprey also offers Ski Valets during the winter season. Ski Valets store and prepare the gear so all equipment is ready and waiting slopeside when guests are ready to hit the powder. Valets even keep skiers refreshed in between runs by serving hot cocoa and other beverages at the chairlift base.

 The Osprey also offers heated underground valet parking, complimentary shuttle service, and high-speed wireless Internet.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES:  The ultimate setting for outdoor enthusiasts, skiers stepping off the hotel’s back deck are treated to a high-speed quad lift just 20 feet away.

Winter: Skiing and snowboarding, dog sledding, Nordic sports, scenic backcountry ski/snowboard or snowshoe tours, sleigh rides, ice skating, snowmobiling and wildlife tours.   

Summer: Golf at Beaver Creek Golf Club or Red Sky Ranch, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, scenic chairlift and gondola rides, nature hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding and hot air ballooning. 

A year-round option for guests is the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek Village, which offers music concerts, drama, comedy, dance and visual arts. The 530-seat theater was inspired by a small turn-of-the-century theater in Munich, Germany.
