NEW RETAIL OUTLETS TO OPEN IN VAIL SQUARE THIS WINTER
*Shopping Area Just Steps Away from Vail Mountain
Will be the Hub of Activity This Winter*

Vail, CO – While The Arrabelle at Vail Square, A RockResort, became Vail’s first luxury resort in over 25 years, several top-notch retail stores surrounding the property have opened their doors to Vail Square as well. Top ski outfitters, fashionable clothiers and delectable culinary shops are all welcome additions to the newly-revitalized Vail Square and complement the heightened elements of service and luxury installed by the latest RockResort.

Snowboard manufacturer Burton opened its second slopeside retail store in Vail with the premier of Burton at Vail Square. Snowboarders and skiers of all ages can appreciate the limited edition Burton at Vail Square apparel, outerwear, and huge board, boot and binding selection. Snowboarders are able to “ride before they buy” the new equipment on the mountain at this 3,900 square foot store. Additionally, the store is one of two service centers in Colorado, with the ability to make some complimentary equipment repairs for riders.  Visitors can relax in the rider lounge, where they are able to watch their own or professional snowboarding videos on a double-sided video screen. Vail’s ABC local affiliate even has an in-store studio where daily mountain condition reports are broadcast, and snowboarding and skiing professionals can be interviewed.

Rimini, a high-end gelato, chocolate and wine purveyor is another unique retail venture that opened this winter at Vail Square. Named after the Italian town known as the capital of gelato, the store owner and publisher of Chocolatier magazine, Michael Schneider, has brought the finest Italian gelato and a “fresh chocolate experience” to the United States. Visitors can please their palates with spices and caramels to customize their made-to-order fresh chocolate cups and ganache. Rimini also serves espresso, and Italian wine. It is home to Colorado’s first Enomatic wine bar. Furthermore, top pastry chefs regularly conduct cooking demonstrations in the store and present confectionary displays for passersby to enjoy.

• Patagonia, a store offering high performance outerwear and travel gear
• Shade, a high-end sunglass and ski goggle shop
• Vail Sports Ski Rental and Vail Sports Kids, an outfitter that rents skis and sells children’s outerwear
• Quiksilver, a retailer selling trendy outerwear, active-wear and accessories
• Avalon, a store selling designer outerwear (including shearlings, leather and unique fur products) and sophisticated casual wear
• Arriesgado, a modern, hip clothing store for men and women
• Häagen-Dazs, an ice cream shop
• Vail Chophouse, a restaurant serving a variety of hearty steaks and chops, fresh seafood, salads, and après-ski
• Blue Moose Restaurant, a restaurant specializing in American food

These shops, in addition to touches including a new ice skating rink and a charming, authentic glockenspiel, all contribute to making Vail Square a must-see attraction in Vail.
