THE LANDINGS ST. LUCIA, A ROCKRESORT, UNVEILS INDIGENOUS SPA MENU WITH INDULGENT ST. LUCIAN ELEMENTS
**HELEN LUGO APPOINTED SPA DIRECTOR OF THE ROCKRESORTS SPA™**

Rodney Bay, St. Lucia – November 8, 2007 – In advance of its December 2007 opening, the RockResorts Spa™ at The Landings St. Lucia, A RockResort, introduces its spa menu with treatments that incorporate indigenous island ingredients. Innovative therapies will appeal to women, men and younger guests. Overseeing the spa will be newly appointed Spa Director Helen Lugo.

The 7,000 square-foot spa will feature eight treatment rooms (including one couples suite), several relaxation rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness gallery and a full-service salon.  Locally-inspired treatments will utilize such elements as island fruits coupled with ‘Green Trade’ Certified Organic botanicals from around the world.  Each signature treatment will invigorate and replenish skin through St. Lucian spices including hints of Vanilla, Bay Leaf, Ginger, Cinnamon and Boise Bande Bark. Traditional Coal Pots filled with local herbs, spices and fragrant botanicals will be placed throughout the spa.

The RockResorts Spa will offer over 40 spa treatments and three signature treatments, blending the traditional St. Lucian culture with innovative techniques drawn from the global spa community.  The “Barre de I’isle Facial” will moisturize and hydrate even the driest skin types, while rejuvenating complexions with a cooling, rich mask.  The “La Soufriere and Lime Massage” will incorporate Thai stretches, acupressure and Island Lomi-Lomi techniques to soothe and unwind aching muscles, while using St. Lucian volcanic mud to encourage detoxification.  Guests seeking the ultimate escape will enjoy the “St. Lucian Polish Body Scrub,” designed to restore senses and leave skin healthy and glowing through a combination of papaya, pineapple, kukui nut and herbal coconut milk.

Newly appointed Spa Director Helen Lugo will oversee daily operations and develop spa programs.  Lugo brings over ten years of spa and hospitality industry experience to The Landings St. Lucia, with previous positions at Four Seasons Resort Nevis in the West Indies and The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan Hotel, Spa & Casino in Puerto Rico.  She most recently served as spa director at Puerto Rico’s Martineau Bay Resort & Spa.

“We are ecstatic to welcome Helen to The Landings team,” said Gary Thulander, managing director of The Landings St. Lucia.  “Her extensive spa industry knowledge and highly motivated leadership style will create an environment that provides the ultimate sensory and rejuvenating experience for our guests.”

Lugo’s plans also cater to younger spa-goers who will appreciate a variety of services from customized manicures and pedicures to the “My Skin-101” facial, while enjoying their favorite tunes on MP3 players provided as part of their spa adventure.  The RockResorts Spa at The Landings will also offer an extensive men’s menu with services such as “Sea Crystals Body Ritual” and “Marine Skin Treatment,” a personalized facial and scalp massage that rejuvenates skin and reduces sensitivity.

The Landings will be the most luxurious resort on St. Lucia, spanning 19 acres and nearly 800 feet of the island’s most stunning beachfront.  The 231 one-, two- and three-bedroom suites will range in size from 900 to 2,300 square feet.  All accommodations will be waterfront, offering views of the beach, harbor, lagoon or channel.  The Landings will be developed in four distinct phases. Phase One, open to guests in December 2007, will include 62 guest suites, entrance pavilion, RockResorts Spa™, salon, fitness gallery, pool, water sports concession, four-acre private yacht harbor and the Beach Club restaurant.  Phases Two, Three and Four will incorporate additional suites, pools and restaurants and will be completed during 2008, 2009 and 2010, respectively.
