Vail Resorts Lodging Company Names Benjamin A. Novy as Director of Human Resources

Broomfield, Colo. – November 3, 2006 – Vail Resorts Lodging Company, a wholly-owned division of Vail Resorts (NYSE: MTN), has announced that Benjamin A. Novy has been named Director of Human Resources of the Company. Novy will office in the Company’s new headquarters in Broomfield, CO.

Novy, who moved to Colorado in 2001, has an extensive background in human resources. Most recently, he was the Senior Human Resources Manager at Vail Resorts responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the corporate human resources services. From 1999 -2006, Novy spent time with various divisions of Northrop Grumman (formerly TRW Inc.), a global aerospace company that provides a wide range of products for the defense industry, including assignments across the United States and England.

As Director of Human Resources at Vail Resorts, Novy will be responsible for overseeing the human resources function of the RockResorts luxury chain as well as additional lodging managed by Vail Resorts Lodging Company.

Novy holds a Master of Human Resources from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science Management from Purdue University. In 2005, Novy also achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
