RockResorts’ Operating Philosophy
RockResorts is committed to providing exceptional experiences for our guests, attractive financial performance for our owners and unmatched corporate support throughout the development and management processes. We offer an uncommonly flexible and knowledgeable approach to working with owners and asset managers as, through related entities, we are resort developers and owners ourselves. We employ industry-leading strategies in order to maximize operational efficiencies and yield management, resulting in steady growth in both profitability and asset value. And we provide luxury resort services that create unique, unforgettable guest experiences.
RockResorts’ Environmental Stewardship
As responsible stewards of the environment, we partner with our guests to protect, enhance and improve our natural treasures. RockResorts is in the process of implementing a single environmental management system to be ISO 14001 certified. Additionally, Vail Resorts offsets 100 percent of its energy use by purchasing nearly 152,000 megawatt-hours of wind energy annually for its lodging properties and its ski, retail and headquarter operations – making it the second largest purchaser of wind power of all corporations in the U.S. Lastly, Vail Resorts and the National Forest Foundation partner to raise money for conservation projects in Colorado, California and Nevada, where Vail Resorts operates its five mountain resorts.
