James C. O'Donnell
Chief Financial Officer of Lodging

James O’Donnell joined RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality (VRH) in June 2002 as Director of Finance, and then served as  Regional Director of Operations until early 2006. In his current role as Vice President of Lodging Development, O’Donnell oversees the acquisition of new management contracts and developments for RockResorts and VRH.

Before joining RockResorts, O’Donnell was an Assurance and Business Advisory Services Manager for Arthur Andersen LLP. He served in such capacity in Andersen’s Miami, Florida office from August 1993 to July 2000, and in Andersen’s Denver, Colorado office from July 2000 to June 2002. While at Andersen, O’Donnell specialized in the hospitality and real estate industries.

O'Donnell regularly speaks on industry expert panels at the American Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), the NYU Lodging Conference and various other IMN sponsored conferences.

O’Donnell received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a specialization in accounting, from the University of Miami (Miami, FL) in 1993. He received his MBA from the University of Miami in 2000.

Trip Riggs
Director of Lodging Development

Trip Riggs joined Vail Resorts Hospitality and RockResorts as the Director of Lodging Development in 2011.  Mr. Riggs oversees the acquisition of new assets, developments and management contracts for Vail Resorts Hospitality and RockResorts throughout the United States and internationally.

Previously, Mr. Riggs worked for Stonebridge Companies, a Denver-based owner and operator of hotels, managing the acquisition of lodging assets and land.  He also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Hospitality and Leisure Practice.  Mr. Riggs received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, is a guest lecturer at the University of Denver’s school for Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management and sits on the Board of Trustees for Outward Bound Denver.

Dan Dohner
Director of Lodging Development

Dan Dohner joined RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality as the Director of Lodging Development in 2010. He is responsible for the coordination of all financial aspects of Rock Resort and Vail Resort Hospitality properties that are in the development or pre-opening phase. Mr. Dohner is responsible for transitioning new properties into the RockResort / Vail Resort Hospitality portfolio via acquisition, new management contracts or management takeovers through strategic coordination with the corporate hospitality operations team. Additionally, feasibility work / market research required prior to entering new markets falls under Mr. Dohner’s responsibility.

Mr. Dohner has more than 18 years experience in hospitality and finance. He came to RockResorts from Powdr Corp where he was the Director of Lodging Operations for the Killington Ski Resort. Throughout his career, Mr. Dohner has held a number of positions including Director of Transitions, Director of Hotel Accounting, General Manager, Director of Revenue and Hotel Controller in a variety of companies and properties including Gemstone Resorts, Stein Erikson Lodge, The Canyons Resort, Snowbird Resort and Wyndham Hotels. He has a unique blend of skills in hotel operations, hotel accounting, property management and HOA management.

Mr. Dohner received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.

Jarvie Worcester
Director of Design and Planning

Jarvie Worcester was appointed the position of Corporate Director of Design and Planning for Rock Resorts in July of 2010. As the developer liaison for all Rock Resorts/Vail Resorts hospitality projects, Worcester assists with programming, design and the development of new resort properties. Worcester also serves as the point of contact to Vail Resorts Development Company (VRDC), assisting in the lodging development of their mountain resort properties.

Worcester joined the Rock Resorts/ Vail Resorts Hospitality team directly from Vail Resorts Development Company where he was the Director of Development. Completed projects under Worcester’s lead were The Chalets at the Lodge at Vail, The Rock Resorts Spa at the Lodge at Vail and The Vail Mountain Club, all located in Vail, CO along with the One Ski Hill Place project in Breckenridge, CO. Prior to joining Vail Resorts, Jarvie worked for a private real estate development company in San Diego, CA, Intracorp San Diego, where he held the positions of Financial Analyst and Project Manager.

Worcester received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance, from the University of Arizona.
